This workshop is open to anyone with a heart to serve families in childbirth and learn more about birth support. 18 and over recommended, but not required.

No, this workshop is just one step on your journey to a birth doula career, and you can start supporting clients immediately after completing this workshop! Completion of this workshop earns a certificate of completion for your DONA-approved birth doula training workshop and your Introduction to Childbirth class only. DONA’s certification process is designed to guide new doulas through learning and mastering the basics of birth doula work, including classroom elements, self-paced learning, client and colleague feedback on services provided, and peer review. DONA allocates 3 years from your training workshop to complete the certification process.

Infants who are not crawling or walking may attend this workshop with their parent. We have plenty of space and eager arms to help you! Please arrange care for mobile, noisier, and older children. Full participation is required to receive a certificate of completion, and unfortunately, crawling and walking children make it very difficult for the parent to focus on workshop content.

Equity seats are for aspiring doulas who identify as BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+, and/or who are experiencing financial hardship. To receive an Equity seat, you must email me BEFORE registering for a workshop to confirm availability and qualifications.

All sales are final, no refunds. Registration grants you immediate access to intellectual content that cannot be returned.

You may transfer your registration to another Doula Joyce Birth Doula Training Workshop one time for $100 administration fee.

In the event of an emergency or illness within 24 hours prior to the start of our workshop or during the workshop time, please contact me by text (phone number provided with final payment confirmation) as soon as possible.

Late payments are accepted without interest or fees up until 1 week prior to the workshop. Full payment must be received at least 1 week prior to the workshop to access the location details, trainer contact information, and other details. If full payment is not received by the deadline, your registration will be transferred to a future workshop, and the $100 transfer administration fee will be applied.

If you are significantly absent from any part of the workshop you will not receive a certificate of completion. If you experience an emergency, please communicate your needs with me directly. Mandatory transfer to a different workshop and a $100 transfer fee may apply.
